And that is just one of many parties that our teens have been busy helping to make happen!
Teens were literally the “heavy lifters” as we loaded in the pop-up shop!
But that’s not all they did! They sold product, worked as cashiers and most of all, did a great job of telling the story! They make us proud!
Now, as we swing back in to school schedules and…oh so soon…the Holiday Season, there are so many markets already on the schedule. Our Teen Team will be there working hard!
Watch for a coming announcement that will answer the questions:
WHAT IS A TEEN AMBASSADOR? HOW CAN I BE ONE? HOW WILL BEING A TEEN AMBASSADOR HELP ME FULFILL SERVICE REQUIREMENTS? HOW DO I GET ON BOARD?
One Hundred Days and Million Kid Movement are celebrating with Anthony Cotton who received his Eagle Award publicly at a ceremony yesterday! Anthony is one of our very best volunteers. He’s available, creative, fun, dependable, innovative, responsible and cheerful.
We are delighted to celebrate this award because the Boy Scouts are building some of the same qualities that we want to build in Million Kid Movement. The focus is on character, honor, faithfulness, leadership! In a country where many have become more consumers than producers , we are thrilled to celebrate Anthony as a role model.
We have grown to depend on him and will miss him as he goes off to Anderson College this fall. Wherever he goes, he will be a leader, a team player and an asset to any project. Before he leaves, he will be a major contributor to setting up for our event at Emerging Arts Scene where They Had To Run and Market Rwanda will be available to the public. An entry fee of $5 will include wine compliments of Rex-Goliath and appetizers.

Did you know that One Hundred Days, Million Kid Movement’s parent organization, was started by a group of fathers? Million Kid Movement would like to express our gratitude to all the Dads who touch this project and make it happen.
Jim, Marlon, Steve, Scott– Fathers who came together and established One Hundred Days over 7 years ago. These men of God have given of their time, expertise and finances to develop a viable non-profit which is actively working to build restoration in Rwanda.
Scott - Physician with global interests, responsibilities and knowledge responded to Simon’s request to build the hospital. He shared the need with neighbors Marlon and Steve and called on Jim’s long-term relationship with Simon, then took the step to found One Hundred Days.
Jim – Missionary and visionary, among other strengths, has lent spiritual directorship through prayer and prayer meetings. He is also a great example of what most men would aspire to be as a grandfather.
Steve Munro – I see my brother’s life all through Psalm 112. Marlon and I were richly blessed to live across the street from the Munros for seven years. We observed Steve’s life up-close and along with him being “upright… gracious… compassionate…righteous…generous.” Steve was an exceptional example of a father. We miss you Steve!
Marlon Brown - Father to three thriving sons, he has a heart for Rwanda. With a background in finance, his skills are invaluable. He has made several trips to Rwanda and been instrumental in connecting one of the churches to a group who helped them build a building.
Simon Nziramakenga – A father who decided he could not turn his back on his war-torn country and the thousands of orphans who were left after the 1994 genocide. So he returned with his openhearted wife, Kedress, and established Good Shepherd Church. Today the church has 22 locations, a primary school and has spearheaded the project to establish the first hospital dedicated to pediatric care in Rwanda. Pastor Simon and Kedress have personally parented many, many children and young adults who were orphaned or displaced as a result of the genocide.
Peter, Charles, Steve B., and David-fathers who also responded to the call to help build restoration in Rwanda. First major project: Helping build of Good Shepherd Hospital for Children.

Gad (below)representing the Nziramakenga’s stateside and the next generation of leaders is a delightful co-laborer.
To my Dad, Harvey Middleton, who taught me to “see” those who often are not seen. I will always be grateful! Miss you.
So thank you Fathers everywhere. Your love, presence, and pouring into lives matters and endures! Happy Father’s Day! God bless you!
